For most guitar players interested in playing country style runs and licks, there's nothing better than the sound of the "Major Pentatonic" scale with the added minor third tone. When you play these licks on an acoustic guitar, you've got the perfect way to color the sound for that authentic country-western, (or bluegrass) effect.
