Photojournalist Sean Gallagher discusses the different issues of climate change in the Tibetan plateau such as melting glaciers, increased desertification, overgrazing and the disappearance of culture.
Due to policies implemented to protect the grasslands, the nomads in the Tibetan Plateau have been moved into towns. However, Gallagher explains, it is not the nomads that are deteriorating the lands but the climate change and rising temperature.
Gallagher explores the relationship between the changing landscapes and its effects on the people as well as the different policies that are implemented to cope with climate change.
