THIS IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY how to get rid of the gaping armhole and add FBA without modifying the rest of the pattern and leaving it in tact. Meaning that you already have everything else positioned where you wanted it - shoulder seam is centered on the shoulder and other elements of the garment are fitting well. There are other FBA techniques that look different to this one.
