Knell of Dawn is an English Dungeon/Ethereal Ambient project founded by Marc Azrael Hoyland (Hoyland, Gil-Galad, Heathen Deity, Ethereal Forest Frosten & Thornland) in 2014.

Inspired by Era1 Mortiis, Cintecele Diavolui, Wongraven and Ambient era Burzum, this EP was recorded utilizing old retro keyboard and synth sounds only. The desire to create Knell of Dawn was to go back to the basics of making ambient music. No label pressure, no deadlines to meet, ect. We are Made of Stars was created over the space of one week from absolute beginnings to the mixing and mastering stage being completed.

We Are Made of Stars is the first release by the project.
Recorded and Mastered in Mirkwood Studios, England in February 2014.

Released through Mirkwood Productions in February 2014.
