You just heard the Levitation by Earthquaker Devices. The Levitation is a vintage-voiced reverb that tows the line between grimy room echoes, drippy spring tanks and mammoth studio plate verbs. Utilizing a comprehensive control set that includes Decay, Mix and Tone, the crux of the Levitation is the pairing of the Length toggle switch and the Atmosphere knob, both of which flesh out the range of the pedal. The Length switch sets the range of the Decay knob, so players can dial in a subtle bit of small room reverb, to full-on echo chamber wash. The Atmosphere control splits the frequency range and sends the lower frequencies to the output, while processing the higher frequencies back through the Levitation for a harmonic ringing effect. When paired with the tone knob, the Levitation is perfect for crafting dense soundscapes with the turn of a knob.
