We at THSC have been talking about parental rights for decades as we defend the fundamental right of parents to direct the care, control, and upbringing of their children.
Parental rights are the very basis for homeschooling and, thankfully, that movement has risen into a very public expansion since the pandemic.
This movement has contributed to a major increase in the number of families choosing to teach their children at home and a dramatic increase in the number of parents who are - for the first time - becoming engaged in what the public school boards are doing in local schools.
Both of these are really good things.
