Today were going to take a look at the Thule side frame extensions for the Pack and Pedal Tour Rack, part number th100017. The pack and pedal side frames are designed to be used with the pack and pedal touring rack. These side frames add extra structure to be used with other saddle bags outside of the Thule line up. The side frames attach to the aluminum bar already on the touring rack. The side frames will prevent your saddle bags from making contact with the wheels, chain, or gears. The second aluminum bar can be repositioned up and down on the rack to provide support where its needed.
There are slots and loops all around the side frames so that you have plenty of the attachment points to secure your luggage. Next well show you how to attach the side frames to the touring rack. Well head to the touring rack and remove the plastic end caps and bolts on the ends of the aluminum tube. Well fit the side frame over the bar and reinstall those screws setting the plastic caps aside, down low well remove the magnet that came with the touring rack. Well replace it with these blue latches that came with the side frames.
Where we fit the latches in and close them theyll secure the bottom sides of the frame. Thats it for the side frame extensions for the Thule tour rack, part number th100017.
