These interpreters must take the CHI™ exam after they pass the knowledge CoreCHI™ exam in order to get certified. CCHI offers two levels of national certification: the professional knowledge CoreCHI™, available for interpreters of any language, and the language-specific performance CHI™, currently available for Arabic, Mandarin and Spanish interpreters. CCHI also administers the national healthcare interpreter Continuing Education Accreditation Program (CEAP).
