The show On my own terms — Self-Taught artists at The Rotunda aims to inspire aspiring artists among its audiences and beyond, both online and through the exhibition’s catalogue.
No matter their circumstances and roles in society, the artists in this show have pursued their callings and dedicated time, resources and effort to expressing themselves through their art.
Whether they have become world-renowned and reached the pinnacle of a system or had a few shows, and whether they make a living through their art or still work a “day job”, they are all active artists.
這次在交易廣塲中央大廳舉行的「自主.尋藝」作品展，旨在透過實地展覽以及展覽圖錄，以啟迪 觀眾追尋嚮往的藝術路。
參展藝術家無論處境如何、扮演怎麼樣的社會角色，他們都積極追尋各自的藝術夢，投入時間、資源 及心力去創作，透過作品表達自己。
他們，無論是否已舉世知名、造詣已登巔峰，又或只曾參與過寥寥可數的展覽;無論靠藝術維生， 或是營營役役地兼顧着每一天工作的他們，都是活躍於藝術創作的一分子。
