Checking-in with American Airlines at terminal 1 and then walking to gate 30, where flight AA389 to Dallas/Fort Worth left from. Afterwards, the video continues to show the deplaning process and the walk to immigration.
At Mexico City Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX/MMMX) terminal 1, international passengers arrive at the same level as they depart, but are directed to a corridor between the gates and the airbridges, then escalators at the end of the corridor lead to a lower level where the immigration hall is located.
The current Mexico City International Airport (also called "AICM", for Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México, by the locals) is located in a dense urban area and faces many constraints, so the government authorities are planing an all-new airport at a different location to replace the current one.
