Hey, guys! The third season of Star Trek: Discovery wrapped up on CBS All Access on January 7. CBS has already officially renewed Star Trek: Discovery for Season 4. The renewal was announced on October 16, 2020 and production began in November in Toronto, Canada. Filming will continue until June, with the Season 4 expected release date set for 2022. The main mission of Season 3 was completed, as the crew finally found that the cause of The Burn, which in turn caused the disintegration of the United Federation of Planets, was a Kelpien, Su'Kal, stuck in the treacherous Verubin Nebula. The third season ended with a much-deserved promotion, as Michael Burnham became the Captain of Discovery. This means that Sonequa Martin-Green will be back in Season 4 of Star Trek: Discovery as Captain Burnham as she leads Discovery on new journeys. As Discovery has to ship much-needed dilithium to far-off planets, this will probably become the storyline for Season 4. Most likely, when Season 4 of Star Trek: Discovery premieres some time in 2020, it will be streamed on Paramount+, as CBS All Access is preparing to rebrand its streaming service.
