Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most prevalent cause of severe neurodisability in children. It is characterised as a set of nonprogressive movement and postural problems.
It is critical to understand its physiopathology in order to design some defensive methods.
Several antenatal, perinatal, and postnatal variables, however, could play a role in the development of CP syndromes.
Rarely are congenital abnormalities discovered.
Environmental factors, which may interact with genetic vulnerabilities, are the most common causes of cerebral palsy, which can manifest as destructive injuries visible on standard imaging (e.g., ultrasonography or MRI), primarily in the white matter in preterm infants and the grey matter and brainstem nuclei in full-term newborns.
