Today we celebrate the 300th anniversary of Gilbert White the pioneering naturalist and first ecologist.
In this video Tim Sparks from The Woodland Trust explores Gilbert White's records alongside those of his contemporaries, as well as more modern records to discover the value of these records and what we can learn about the differences between today's natural world and the 18th Century.
