Professor Andrey Anatolevich Grib is a Russian mathematician and physicist whose major work has focused mainly on quantum theory, especially quantum field theory in curved space-time. He was a guest of the Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at the conference entitled "The Man and the Universe. East, West, South". During his visit in Kraków he was asked to express his view on the limits of scientific explanation.
