Here's how to get results when calling CQ on HF SSB. Be sure to: (1) call long enough, (2) give your call phonetically, (3) be enthusiastic, (4) give your location, especially on higher frequencies where hams use directional antennas, and (5) encourage listeners to respond. At the end of the video I suggest giving listeners a chance to provide just a signal report ("Calling CQ for a Signal Report") -- but still make your call longer than is typically done today. Far too many calls for CQ are too short. Note how I got responses to every CQ even though band conditions were poor. Add your tips below. Quin, K8QS
