The most talked about feature with the new Makita RW01 12V ratchet is the switchable 1/4" and 3/8" anvils that come with the tool. As for an avid user of cordless ratchets, I would say that best feature is the the speed. This Makita 12V cordless ratchet zips fasteners off at 800 RPM. This is much faster than any other cordless ratchet on the market.

Makita 18V Ratchet @ Acme Tools:
The Makit RW01 feels very balanced in your hand as well, with the handle being about in the middle of the ratchet. As for reach, you get the same reach as that of a standard 7-8" 3/8" drive ratchet. The 12V battery fuel indicator is a bit of a pain to read, since it's tucked away under the handle, but that's not a big deal.
As more of an advanced or Pro user, I believe you'll probably want to lean towards purchasing a separate ratchet for each drive size. I can see these anvils following the path of all your 10mm sockets. With two ratchets, you just keep the 1/4" in on and 3/8" in the other.
The Makita RW01 by itself sells for $129, and the kit with the tool, the 2Ah battery and charger sells for $179. I would love to see Makita release an extended version of this ratchet.
