Come with me to the Veuve Clicquot pop-up in Beverly Hills! First off, this isn't my first Veuve Clicquot event. I also went to one in Shanghai while working in wine there, as well as their polo match on Governor's Island in New York City. Today, we're exploring their event in Beverly Hills.
Did you know there's a badass woman behind the international brand? Widowed at 27, Madame Clicquot navigated near political and financial ruin to build the fledgling winery into a globally recognized brand. She also invented sparkling rosé, so that millions of us could scream, "rosé all day" at brunch before falling down a staircase.
The event celebrated the brand's rich history, featured artwork from artists such as Yayoi Kusama, and great rooftop views while drinking champagne (I had to try their rosé). If you want to learn more about Madame Clicquot, I highly recommend this book. Follow me for more adventures and updates on my upcoming memoir, Where to Nest: A Global Search for Love, Cheap Wine, and a Place to Belong.
