This is the video of an interview with Professor Andrew Sayer, Emeritus Professor in Social Theory and Political Economy at Lancaster University by Dr Michael Lambert, the Research and Engagement Lead for the Centre for Alternatives to Social and Economic Inequalities.
Professor Sayer discusses his body of postdisciplinary work and its relationship to inequalities over the course of his career. He reflects upon the philosophy of method, ethics and everyday life, the relationship between empirical and theoretical approaches, and the importance of disciplinary dialogues.
Andrew's latest book, 'Why We Can't Afford the Rich' received the 2015 British Academy Peter Townsend prize and is published with Policy Press ([ Ссылка ]).
