The Civil War (aka. War Between The States) comes to an end. After an exchange of notes between the two leaders, Gens. Lee and Grant agreed to meet on April 9, 1865, at the house of Wilmer McLean in the village of Appomattox Courthouse, to discuss the terms of surrender.
