Our first trip to Cradle Mountain was unexpectedly a bit of a disaster. The morning was absolutely terrifying as we completely lost traction of our van on black ice. Please if you're coming to Cradle Mountain keep the road conditions in mind if any snow is forecasted and drive carefully. We picked up the camera after an hour and a half when we had calmed down and received help but we can't emphasise enough how scary the experience was.
Thankfully we got to go back another day to explore Cradle Mountain and we were blessed with fantastic weather and both an echidna sighting and wombat sightings. We had such an incredible time on the second day and were blown away by how beautiful Cradle Mountain was. 🏔️💙
