Idli is one of the most healthiest and popular South Indian breakfast dish. These are soft, light, fluffy steamed round cake made with a ground, fermented rice and lentil batter. Here I share my foolproof recipe with video and step-by-step photos that will help you in making the best idli.
Ingredients
240 ml cup Rice
120 ml cup Urdu
60 ml Sago
½ spoon sugar
salt
½ spn sesame oil
1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
Soak rice and Urdu also add sago into it and fill it with water and rest it for 5 hrs. after 5 hrs grind the Urdu first and then the rice. When we grind the rice also add ice into it and grind it into a thick paste. mix both the batter together and keep it in a container for over night.In the morning the batter will be ready add sugar salt and sesame oil into the batter and mix well. Our batter is ready now we can start preparing idli . Pour the batter into a Oil greased idli pan and cover it after few minutes our idli will be ready.
Ingredients for coconut chutney
1 cup coconut
4 green chilli
1 Onion
1 smal piece ginger
Salt
Instructions
Grind all the ingredients together in a cruhed for it should not be grinded as a thick paste that is it our very tasty oil free chutney is ready to serve .
