Michoacán is one of the most picturesque regions of Mexico. Before the Spaniards came, the Purepechas lived near Pátzcuaro Lake, where biodiversity is very rich. Today, the whole population still lives on the generosity of the lake. People in this region have a special relationship with death and prepare the return of their dead each year.
