Today is my birthday, so I am going to indulge myself and make sandwich of very recent history. Specifically, The Tomato from Chef Mason Hereford’s famed New Orleans joint Turkey and the Wolf. Ever since I got my hands on this book I’ve been jonesin’ to make this (and the other sandwiches in the book, frankly) but with all the sandwiches I eat on a daily basis, making one outside of Sandwiches of History doesn’t happen to often. So today’s the day, baby. Strap in, because this is not your typical tomato sandwich.
