It is part of a series of videos on magic systems in computer games. Brandon Sanderson is an author of fantasy novels, known for the depth and quality of his world building, and the consistency and originality of his magic systems. He has developed his "Three Rules of Magic" which he uses as principles in his storytelling. These rules are effective, and have been widely quoted. In this video we discuss their application to video game magic system design, and actually, how they apply to games in a wider context.
