PART 2: The Father of Video Art | Skip Intro | 00:18
----------
In the early 1970’s Nam June Paik, the “Father of Video Art”, coined the phrase “electronic superhighway”. We meet Tate Curators Sook Kyung-Lee and Michael Raymond as they discuss how Paik revolutionised art through his open spirit and collaborative approach; making technology familiar and establishing television as a medium for peace, connectivity and creativity. Contemporary artist Aoibheann Greenan from collective East London Cable considers the role of networking and open media environments today.
