With North Korea testing one missile after another lately, one in particular stands out. The country says it has tested a new hypersonic missile. It was just recently that South Korea announced it had developed a supersonic cruise missile. And then suddenly we have the North testing a hypersonic weapon – hypersonic meaning being able to travel at five times the speed of sound or faster. Such a weapon could transform regional diplomacy, but can we trust Pyongyang’s claim?
