Evolved from a home business and set up since 1988, Ji Xiang Everton Ang Ku Kueh has established a local brand name of its own. Ang Ku Kueh, the all-time popular snack, is traditionally used as auspicious gifts in celebration of baby's first month birthday. Shaped like a tortoise shell and in striking red, the kueh symbolises longevity and good health. It is made of glutinous rice flour wrapped with fillings like sweet bean and peanut, both are signatures.
To appeal to the younger generation, new flavours like salted bean, black sesame, yam, sweet corn, and coconut are added to the menu. In more recent years, Mao Shan Wang, black sesame and chempedak are also added.
All the kuehs are freshly handmade daily. The pastry skin is soft yet not sticky; coupled with fillings of your choice, it makes a comforting delight!
