So in honor of Wayne Dyer I'm actually doing this barefoot and we think about the future of Medicine and I look around and I see some people that have some amazing gifts. so in fact we are the present of medicine and so it's our obligation to give our gift to the world and if I've learned anything it's that all of us have a gift buried deep inside of us and some of us have brought that to the surface but some of us have still to find that gift and how to contribute in our community. We believe and in our mission we believe that as physicians we must lead by example is everyone agree with that and so we must be role models living models of what we want our patients to become as Gandhi said be the change you wish to see in the world and one of the things that we've done quite successfully.
In our practice mind you were practicing Toronto where healthcare is free and we've built a very successful practice in a very short period of time and it's by role modeling it's by leading and there's three C's to our success the first one, is communication the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple ways that people can understand will project your practice and catapult it exponentially the world is ready but they just don't understand what we do and what we've done as practitioners is we've tried to make it more complex to sound smarter but in fact we lose our patients so we have to understand not only their communication styles but easy ways for people to understand our message.
The next one that's really important is core values when your patients have the same core values as you and our core values. We make very clear in our email sequences and our education and our I don't really call it education I'm marketing acolyte education is that one the first core value is that we never ever treat the diagnosis we work with the patient and empower the patient because the patient unknowingly created the dysfunction through blind, spots through poor choices, through poor education, or lack of education the second core value is that every disease these starts and ends in the gut the third core value is ultimately the patient determines the outcome so communicating this clearly to your patients is very critical so that they take ownership and
responsibility and are empowered through the process.
the third C is community and so we've got an amazing community of people here today but we have amazing communities that we're all going to go back to and it's our ethical obligation to bring this message back to our communities and I lose sleep at night if I don't do that every single day so every morning I wake up asking myself how can I deliver value into my community how can I communicate this message into my community instead of worrying about the future how can I worry about the present and give my gift away every single day so I want you to ask yourself how can you instead of waiting for the future how can you become the present and give your gift away thank you.
