A 27-year-old, Ilan-Reuben Abramov, attacked pro-Palestine protesters with a nail gun outside a Toronto synagogue. He was later arrested and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, and mischief by the police.
Pro-Palestine protesters were at the synagogue to protest the 'Great Israeli Real Estate Event', which took place in Montreal on Tuesday evening. Demonstrators claimed that the property group was selling homes on illegally occupied land in the West Bank. The event's website advertises properties located in several Israeli cities, as well as Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, including Neve Daniel, Efrat, and Ma’ale Adumim.
Police stated that the demonstration was peaceful until Abramov arrived in his car.
