Amid the growing concerns over Omicron which has now been detected in South Africa, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan will be holding a COVID review meet with states. This comes after the recent information regarding the Omicron was shared by South Africa. While the studies are currently underway to find out more about this variant of Coronavirus, it is being reported that the Omicron virus is spreading rapidly, as a result of which, many countries have now put a ban on the flights and travellers coming in from South Africa. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also warned against any kind of laxity amid the growing concerns.
