This is a test of manufacturer claims of bio-decomposition.
I tested the decomposition in a common garden compost pile.
I placed three bags side-by-side.
A brown paper grocery bag -- I know the bag will decompose in a few months.
A plastic one-use disposable bag from a market -- I know the bag will not decompose in soil. The bag will fragment after months of sunlight ( UV ) exposure, yet the fragments will remain plastic pollution for a thousand years.
And the biopolymer bag. In the videos uploaded by the manufacturer, sea animals eat the bag. But the company videos did not show the progress of the bag over time in soil.
I received only one bag at a trade show. For that reason, I can only do one test. I videoed the burying of the bags at the beginning of April 2015, I will uncover the bags in May ....
Update:
I uncovered the bags in the middle of May.
The video shows the results.
Brown paper bag, gone.
White plastic bag from a Los Angeles market, no change. Perhaps in a thousand years.
The EnviPlast bio-degradable? Melting away. Already in shreds. I believe if I had left the bag in the soil for another month, I could not find the bag. It would have been gone.
Excellent. Chemistry resolves the conflict between environmentalists and the corporations. I will send this video to the manufacturer in Indonesia.

Why continue with old plastics when proven alternatives do not pollute our beaches and oceans, kill animals, and remain forever in the earth?
The American plastic corporations lie and bribe to maintain their sales in the markets here in California and other states ---
--- the Indonesians prove innovation solves problems.
