This is a simple drill designed to help the goaltender properly watch the puck and use their upper body while making low saves. Goalie starts on near post and pushes out to shooter. Shooter alternates or chooses shot direction at random, and goalie must steer the puck into the corner and follow the rebound back to the appropriate post. Here we are using the X-Tracker to emphasize proper posture and puck tracking skills. The X-Tracker limits the visual field of the goalie, forcing them to use central vision by driving their head down and leaning their shoulders into the save, as opposed using peripheral vision and pulling off the puck.
