3 years ago, if you wanted a 7-seater at this price bracket, you had to make do with MPVs with plasticky interiors, 100hp engines and basic features. You'd be lucky if you got leather seats or a reverse camera.
These two crossovers/mpvs, the Geely Okavango and the Chery Tiggo 8 offer Premium interiors, 360 cameras, adaptive LED headlights, power adjustable ventilated leather seats, panoramic sunroofs, dual zone/tri-zone climate control, one comes with a 190hp mild-hybrid power plant. And they range between 1.2m-1.4m pesos. They offer expensive tech at relatively attainable prices.
These new crossovers/MPVs from the east might just disrupt the market by gradually changing our perception of what we should get for our money
