When Tony Stark takes away Peter's suit, he states, "if you're nothing without this suit, then you shouldn't have it". Tony learned this lesson in Iron Man 3, when he was forced to take on the Mandarin without the use of his Armor. So again, like they always say, Tony learns from his mistakes !
