(14 Apr 2016) Student protesters clashed with police in Paris on Thursday during a tense demonstration against the French government's planned reform of the labour market.
Police used pepper spray against a group of protesters with balaclavas who were throwing rocks and glass bottles at security forces.
Earlier, a group of young demonstrators entered the Gare du Nord Station – from which Eurostar trains arrive and depart – until riot police charged using batons and forced them out onto the street.
Trade unions were expected to join students on Thursday afternoon for a larger protest against the controversial draft bill.
