This was a collaborative session with the Zimbabwe Pharmacy Students Association to educate pharmacy students in Zimbabwe on the general concepts of Antimicrobial Resistance and Antimicrobial Stewardship. The objective was to exemplify potential avenues in which the students could help decrease the scourge of Antimicrobial Resistance currently as students and in the future after transitioning to healthcare providers.
The guest speakers for the session were; Mr. Tapiwanashe Kujinga, Director Pan-African Treatment Access Movement, and Dr. Collings Jaguga, Senior Program Manager for Southern and Eastern Africa, USAID MTAPs Program. The moderator was one of our AMR Stewards, Ngoni Muzondo who is also part of the leadership of ZPSA.
