Medlar is not for everyone. My girls aren't crazy about them fresh but they make an amazing jam. They are crazy about the jam. The tree sets well and fruit can be eaten fresh once properly bletted. It is like rotting the fruit but it just becomes soft and edible. Super easy to grow for me. Not a big plant either. I've only pruned lightly to shape.
