Panos Cosmatos, with just two feature length films, has succeeded in establishing himself as a highly distinctive author, combining B-movie motifs and aesthetics with higher art. His sophisticated style can attack the viewer's subconscious ... maybe it's a bold statement, but I think Cosmatos has a chance to get along with such greats as Lynch or Tarkovsky.
