Chip Ganassi is one of the most famous names in the overall history of motorsports, not just NASCAR. Yet, with this in mind and the fact that he did actually run well in many instances in NASCAR it is hard to deny that his success in other racing series did not transfer over to his NASCAR Cup Series team no matter who they got to drive the cars. So today, a year after selling his NASCAR team I want to look at why Chip Ganassi Racing did not take over NASCAR.
