Our garden is struggling through another hot summer here in North Texas, Zone 8A, with no rain and temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit each day. However, several varieties of flowers are still doing well. Our sweet potatoes, okra, basil, and melons are all doing well. This video also mentions another video where we describe five different ways to plant sweet potatoes, and that link is below. With a little research and experience, you can hopefully find plants to grow in a variety of weather conditions. If you have some ideas for other plants that love the heat, please let us know!
