There's an awful lot of corruption in Brazil and there’s an awful lot of hypocrisy, too. First, President Dilma Rousseff was ousted on corruption allegations; her predecessor (very likely her successor) Lula has been jailed for almost 10 years on separate corruption charges. And now the current president, Michel Temer, who was instrumental in setting both of them up, is himself facing charges of corruption. It’s difficult to know quite what is going on, so we invited an expert on Brazil, Orlando Da Rocha Hill, into the Sputnik studio to help us make some sense of it all.
And with a list of film and TV credits as long as your arm, our second guest has acted in everything from ‘Indiana Jones’ to ‘Midnight Express’; ‘Mind your Language’ to ‘Silent Witness’. Currently appearing in Charles Dickens’ ‘Tale of Two Cities’ in the great outdoors of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, Kevork Malikyan is probably the world's most famous Armenian. He’s also a political rebel and fighter, so we asked him to take time out from his very busy schedule to hop aboard Sputnik to tell us about his fascinating life.
