The poem, by Hannah Loeb:
WHAT I WANT MOST OF ALL
what I want most of all
is to make this
& then not to recognize it
let me try
putting something in,
something I have known well
let me hold it
like a weapon in every
room of our old house,
it helps
not to have a continuous thought,
but instead to stare at the sofa
for a whole sixty seconds
before realizing it
is not even touching the floor
touchstonery
is the greatest threat
facing us today
when you asked me
to wash your neck,
I believed you
too bad
I will never enjoy myself
when I make love
so worried
about mistakes I have
never heard of
hear this song? like it?
buy a radio and you can have it
every time it comes on
