This was a big hit, along with the song version "Dance of the Grizzly Bear". The accompanying ragtime dance the Grizzly Bear is historically the first of many animal themed dances of the era, which spawned dances like the Bunny Hop, Turkey Trot, Kangaroo Hop, and most famously, the Fox Trot. Animal dances were considered daring in that time and some localities ended up banning them altogether. Published by Ted Snyder in New York City in 1910.
