I've spent a few hours trying to figure out how to connect my wireless microphone to my computer. A wireless microphone could come with 2 cables with 2 different ends. One is called TRS and the other is called TRRS. TRS got 2 black rings and TRRS got 3 black rings. If you read the user manual of the wireless microphones, they'll say you'd need to connect the TRRS end of your receiver's cable to the computer. But, I've find out that it's not always the case. In my previous video, I've shown you how to connect the wireless mic to a laptop with a TRRS cable. But now, when I tried to connect my wireless mic using TRRS to my old PC, it just didn't work, even though my Windows 10 recognized the new mic. I was about to lose all my hopes, until I said let me try to connect the TRS cable instead. To my surprise, it worked instantaneously. The lesson is to try to connect your wireless microphone with both TRS and TRRS cable and see which one would work for you. If your computer is pretty old, like mine, then there is a high chance that you'd have use the TRS cable even though the user manual says otherwise. Also, you might have to do some additional changes to your settings. For that, I'll recommend you to watch my video on how to connect a wireless microphone to a laptop.
