Yang Sau Chung equipped his North America disciple Chu Ginsoon with the secret family method that builds the reputed core Yang family Tai Chi power. The Square method solo form was designed to fit perfectly with the JI Power Pressing pushing hands training.

Level 4.0 Angle Method Solo Form and corresponding Short Power Combat (dashou "striking hands") training constitutes an additional layer on top of Level 3.0 Chu Ginsoon's Square Method Solo Form and corresponding JI Power Pressing (tuishou "pushing hands") training.

This summer we discovered that a confusing aspect of Yang Sau Chung's down line training is that its practitioners do somewhat of an unwitting blend of the two. That in the making of the distinction between them in training is where one derives great gains.
