My Honda Insight 2010 makes the grinding noise in background since last year, which is really noticeable when i put the gear into reverse. The previous owner replaced AC clutch, idle pulley and water pump.
SOLVED: Finally i solved this issue. Grinding noise in the background (not the ticking noise of the engine) is the DRIVESHAFT HEAT SHIELD, which became loose.
