I decided to make a retro gaming PC to play old Windows 98 games on, there will be a follow up video where I finish the build and install Voodoo II SLI, fix problems with sound card compatibility, and play some games. This is a vlog and runs for a long time, I have added music to parts of it to break up the monotony. It covers the build process including Windows 98 setup and driver installation, gaming and benchmarking.
The Specifications:
Pentium III 933Mhz
512MB SDRAM
Dell 2336V Dimension 4100 Socket 370 Motherboard
Creative 16MB Riva TNT AGP graphics card
Kolink Luminosity Case
Corsair VS450 PSU
Samsung IDE DVDRW
40GB IDE HDD
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum PCI sound card
Some parts will be installed in the next video:
SDHC to IDE adapter w. 16GB SDHC card
Gotek floppy emulator
Voodoo II SLI!
Mystery sound card
Games and benchmarks covered in this video:
Quake II
Unreal
Half Life
3dMark 99
I was kinda inspired by the likes of Phil's Computer Lab, Green Ham Gaming, Victor Bart, RandomGamingInHD, LGR, and loads of other awesome Youtube channels.
