Years back
Our historical heros fight for thy land
From the wicked hands and their plans

So it time for us to seat and ponder
Cos sometimes I wonder
About this great bequest
Of our forefathers

Freedom of education so they protest
They gave up their lives
Some where slaughtered
While some got shot in the chest

Gun shot every where
People where running helter scare
A remarkable day,
We all should remember

It was August 19th 1963
I mean within the nineties
Students from Soweto where killed clean
Some even lust their teens

1976 the pride of Afrikaans soil in history
Soweto uprising the inception of courage
June 16th the legacy of Hector pieterson

These stories and pictures of Africa soil
Has become an history, of mystery
With unforgettable memories
Of black blood shed in the centuries

So we pay our tribute
To lives of victim at the scene
May there their soul rest in perfect peace
Africens breathe
