We visited the 9/11 Memorial last year and learned of the Survivor Stairs and their role in thousands of lives being saved on that tragic day. These stairs were saved and are now on display inside the memorial. While the events of that day are horrific, these stairs represent the happy fact that lives were saved because of them. We will never forget the lives lost at The World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
