It's bad out there. Why are truck rates so bad right now? Trucking is going through a tough period with a lack of demand. Rates plummeted following the "freight boom" and not there are more trucks on the road than the amount of freight available to fill them.
This is a huge contributing factor, but the bigger issue is carriers themselves.
